HAPPY WOMEN's DAY

In 1956 20 000 women in South Africa took to the streets marching towards the Union Buildings in Pretoria. They were marching in protest of the laws that proposed restrictions of the movements of women. Just imagine the unity , the spirit of bravery and the vision these women had.

We have come a long way from that day haven't we? We have women in the cabinet of the South African Government , we have women who are entrusted as Ministers of portfolios that are close to the hearts of South Africans, women who are Engineers, Mothers who are leaders and yet so feminine, warm and bold. "Wathinta umfazi wathinta imbokodo" meaning "you touch a woman, you strike a rock". That song is still relevant even today.

As we celebrate women's day let us be kind to one another. let us be united as women and uplift each other. This is an attitude we need to keep and continuously practice so the young women around us and the children we seek to raise for those of us who are mothers are ROCKS.

Beautiful you are

Radiant your light is

Amazing you are

Not always are you strong.

You have teary moments

So what??

Beautiful you are, still.

Smile and enjoy this day

THE PRINCE OF CAMBRIDGE HAS ARRIVED.

 

CONGRATULATIONS are in order to the Prince and Princess of Cambridge on the arrival of their 1st born child. Although the name of his royal highness has not been announced, i am as excited as everyone around the world on his arrival.

I am excited to introduce to you Hlonolofatso Blessing Mncube who is the new face of our "TOPIC OF THE WEEK" page. Mzansi has so much talent and i am in awe.

I 've gotta admit, what's a blog without a twist or a new spin on it? So i decided to add a new twist to the Blog and dedicate a page that is all about current and trending issues. This page will be dedicated to all that is happening in Mzansi and who else to keep you updated, none other than Hloni.

Hloni is a curious being (like all journalist)..lol and she loves writing as well as giving tips when she can about Fashion, Music etc. She comes from a small town called Botshabelo in the Free State. She has four sisters and one brother. She is currently studying Media and Journalism at Damelin College in Braamfontein and this is her final year. For someone who thought she was a Lawyer in the making , she certainly has taken a different turn in her career choice. 

Since Hloni loves writing and i love giving young people opportunities to grow. It was a perfect match. I could not deny her this opportunity to write away.
