GIVING BACK

I was asked by Adopt A School South Africa to MC at Olifantsvlei Primary School. They were having a cultural talent show and would have loved to have a "celebrity" MC their show.

These kids all come from disadvantaged homes and Adopt A School went above and beyond to give them a great day. The show started with Ronald MacDonald showing magic tricks and this made the children laugh, they were having a good time. Being the MC I had to keep the children hyped up for the show. This was followed by a ceremony and handing over of trophies to winners of the Talent show.

At the end of the day the children had a great time and so did i. It feels great to give back to a community that has received me with open arms and my passion for children and children oriented programmes/events is something close to my heart.

The Chairman of the School is Deputy President of the ANC Dr Cyril Ramaphosa and it was a pleasure to be part of such an important project with him.Thank You to all at Olifantsvlei Primary School. Congratulations  to the staff for all the hard work that you put in to give these children a chance for a better future and congratulations to all the children for putting together such a beautiful Talent Show by themselves. Well done to you.

MTN SAMA
Awards Night

Day 2 of the SAMA's, which in truth is what everyone was really looking forward to, was in my opinion spectacular!! Starting with the beautiful  people at the Yellow Carpet and ending with an impressive Award Show Ceremony.

I was blown away by the Stage Production, the performances and the overral show.My favourite performances were by Lira, Kelly Khumalo, The Muffinz, Desmond and the Tutus(weird I know, but I LOVED them), Dj Zinhle ft Busiswa, Khaya and Proverb, and of course, the KING my favorite person in the music industry right now Dr Malinga!! I want to give props to Khuli Chana the biggest winner of the night. He's been in this game for a very long time and his Awards were well deserved.

Congratulations also to Zahara, she's sitting on 11 SAMA awards all in a space of a year. I am  proud of her, she is going far. May she remain this beautiful Humble soul.I do have to mention one winner that touched me deeply with his acceptance speech.Sfiso Ncwane! Seeing him go up on stage with his wife, the way they were so genuinely thanking God gave me goosebumps and brought tears to my eyes. Then everyone singing along to his gospel song... I became an instant fan in that moment!!So these were the highlights of my evening.

I went to co- host a Live stream show straight at the Amstel Lager VIP Winners After Party. After that it was party time.Thank You to all that made it such an Amazing weekend. Thank You to Amstel Lager and Red Flag Agency. The event was a success and hopefully i'll  get to work with all of you  soon because I had a Total Blast!

MTN SAMA
Industry Awards

As you all know this past weekend was the SAMA weekend and I was kindly invited to attend  this prestigious event courtesy of Amstel Lager SA. A lot happened so let me try to break it down and make it short so I won't bore you all. I took off on Friday and decided to drive myself to the venue. I've never driven myself to Sun City. I had no idea how to get there. I naively trusted my GPS to get me there safely and I ended up getting lost. Have you ever been so lost you feel like crying? That is how i felt on Friday when i realised i am nowhere near Sun City.  It took me 6 hours to finally find my way and get to Sun City.

By the time i arrived I was exhausted but unfortunately couldn't sleep (which is all I wanted) never mind the fact that i was already running late to attend the Industry Awards Ceremony. So I got settled at the Hotel, started getting ready for the Industry awards, and was pleasantly surprised with a Goodie Bag from Amstel! Thanks again for that Amstel Lager . I loved it.

I made it just in time at the Industry Awards Ceremony to see the most important award of the evening being presented. The Lifetime Achievement Award was Sponsored by Amstel Lager. Congratulations to Thomas Chauke, Sizwe Zako and Johannes Kerkorrel for the well deserved awards.

Here are some of the wonderful people I ran into on the 1st night of the SAMA's.

NEDBANK and SAA Card Launch

I could not wait to share the Nedbank and SAA credit card launch experience with you. Thank you Nedbank and SAA for the invite. It was too fabulous for words.

The Nedbank SAA Voyager Card launch took place on Friday October 19, 2012 at The Venue in Melrose Arch.  As usual our A list celebs were there to grace the event  from the likes of Dion Chang, Anele Mdoda, Noni Gasa, Mahlatse Makwela, Tumisho Masha, Robert Birch, Pamela White, Roxy Burger, Sydney Gericke, and Tina Venter amongst many others.

Talk about planning a theme to the tee, these guys had it all sorted out. The air - hostesses to welcome us on board , the  Decor was magnificent, the ambiance was great. i loved the way the Captain on board was ushering instructions for all attendants to come on board the flight..(i just wish he was a man..lol) and the food was exquisite with the dessert being my favourite. Keeping in line with the theme the first destination was Sydney, then Nairobi, Beijing , London, New York then Rio.

As for the fashion we had beautiful show cases by Sylvester Falata , Pauls Homme ,Gert-Johan Coetzee. The performance by Khaya Mthethwa had the ladies on their feet, you should have all seen Anele Mdoda..she was clearly "moving". He truly is talented. Vintage crew took to the stage to i would have joined them on stage. Boy can they move and the fact that their dance skit was accompanied by Christina Aguilera's  it's Balesque song...

That is all i can say!!!!

UP and ABOUT !!!!!

Hi guys, here's a heads up on some of the events I'll be attending. Unfortunately some of them are " Invites Only" kind of events, but there are also some open to the public. So if you are around pop by and say Hi!

There have been quite a few incidents where the public was told I was going to be at a certain event but it wasn't true. To avoid that from happening again, if you hear I'm going to be at a particular event, check here first. If it's not here, then I won't be there.

Have a great day!

MIDORI

I am looking forward to the Launch this Salon for a few reasons. They contributed to " GOING GREEN " by designing the Salon with recyclable products also used eco-friendly paints and natural fabrics in all the decor layout. Wi- Fi will be available throughout the Midori Salon and an Ipad 2 placed in several key points of the Salon (I am so happy that they understand that we all need to stay in touch no matter where we are) put that together with great service and top of the range employees and I'm sure this will Salon will give a lot of already established Salons a run for their money. I will be there to check it out and tell you all about it.

Zazi,Zithembe,Zithande

When my good friend Thandy Matlaila from Aptitude PR asked me if I could model for the  Zazi,Zithande,Zithembe launch, i immediately said YES. By now you should know that i always try to be a part of anything that has to do with the empowerment of women. It was a beautiful event, hosted at the Balalaika Hotel. I really have to congratulate the founders of "ZZZ''- Salamina Mosese and Lusanda Mbane for such a beautiful initiative. The theme of the event was "Champagne and Diamonds" and everything was on point, from the Motivational speakers (Timothy Maurice Webster, Faith Mangope and Jolene Martin) to the renowned Designers ( Rubicon, Reggie Stone and  Thula Sindi) to the entertainment by Ayanda, Vicus Music and Boichoko Qwabe.

I got to meet a lot of great ladies, who also donated their time for this beautiful event and of course had a blast modelling in all those beautiful designs.

YOU SPECTACULAR EVENT

I went to the You Spectacular this year and as usual I was late. This time around it wasn't my fault, my good friend and Model Noxy Zinyama got us SO lost! It took us 2 hours to get to Monte Casino can u believe it?
Finally we arrived there and the Red Carpet was closed, worse still the show was about to start! We got there just in time. I don't mind missing the Red carpet but the actual Show is the most important part of this event .It was Amazing!!!The event was well put together, I was very impressed!!!

To those that don't knew, I hosted an Angolan Party at Hush(SA). It was more of an excuse to get everyone together, I've been promising Hush a Party since I left the Big Brother House last year, it was time to make good on my word!

I want to thank everyone that came through to my party, it was soooo awesome! Had lots of fun, I missed dancing to Angolan music so much! The best part was seeing people from all nations there... ready to Partyyyyyy!

A Big Thank You to ALL my Friends and Supporters who made it such a memorable night.

Fabrosanz Winter Fashion Show

If you haven't heard of Fabrosanz... Then where have you been?!! Sandy is the owner of the label and she is this VERY talented up and coming designer who has been dressing all the HOT celebs in SA.
She started dressing me for events last year and is one of the reasons I'm always so hot at functions.

She had a Winter Fashion Show and I want to congratulate her for pulling off such an awesome event! I know there was a LOT of hard work put into it and it showed! Her clothes are classy, made for every body shape and size, still with a hint of sexiness.

I wore the Show Stopper Dress on her Fashion Show and I did not want to take it off, I felt like a princess, a VERY HOT princess! Lol

Since my Angolan Party was right after the fashion show, I wore of one her dresses for my party also, BIG HIT, it looked like it was made for me.

for more picture, visit her website: fabrosanz.com

Its a great read for all Fashionistas out there

SA Fashion WEEK

SAFW kicked off on Thursday(29/03) and I was one of the Celebs invited to walk down the ramp for the Motions Sheer Glamour Show.

We were dressed by Rubicon and our hair was styled by international stylist Ursula Stephan. If you don't know who she is, think of every hairstyle you've seen Rihanna with... She CREATED IT!

It was a beautiful well organized show, it's my second time doing it (last year I walked for Gert Johan Coetzee), and I still get butterflies before going down the ramp, I LOVE that feeling!

All the Celebs did their thing, they were awesome, funny, we had lots of laughs backstage and definitely the highlight of the night was having Ursula Stephen create a kick ass hairstyle for me.

Lots of beautiful stylish people were there to see the show and afterwards we took it to Randlords for the after party!

Inspired by her father, Keith Sykes, who runs Mossman Trunks and Five Star Cases from his factory in Wisbech, Katie came up with the concept of a miniature trunk to be used as a replica oakley sunglasses. With support from enterprise agency Nwes, the transition from idea to actual product is about to move another step forward with a launch day for her business, Katherena Ltd, at Elme Hall Hotel in Wisbech, on bank holiday Monday, May 29. I knew cheap louis vuitton I wanted to work in fashion and I studied the subject at the Isle College before going to university in Preston to read fashion promotion. I moved to London, but then I realised that I wanted a career in fashion, so I moved back cheap prada bags home to Emneth and spoke to my dad. We tested to see if we could make the miniature clutch bags in the factory, but the machines were too big for these smaller items. However Katie went to China where, after some trials, she finally found a suitable manufacturer capable of producing good quality products. The bags, which retail at £100, are all one size, come in four different colours and ray ban outlet uk are intended to be small, but just big enough to carry the essentials, said Katie. I have also created rucksacks which sell for £75 each. They are different from other rucksacks as they have the zip opening on the inside, which is a security feature.
